Johore Bharu - southern gate of Malaysia

Johore Bharu is the second largest city of Malaysia. It is just a walking distance to Singapore. Rich with Malaya history and culture, always a must visit state for tourists after their trip to Singapore. What really make Johore Bharu a special place to visit? Hmmm, to me it is a best place to taste Malaysian food - Malay cuisine, Chinese dishes, Indian meal and Nonya specialities, you name it! For Singaporean, shopping for daily goods always best to visit Johore Bharu because of the advantages of currency - 1:2.28 what a good use of strong Singapore dollar. We dined at one of the great restourant there - Indonesian cuisine, cheap and good, just next to JB checkpoint. Try there if you want to have a good experience of Asian food.

The loving Melacca

After KL and best food in Petaling Street, we heading to Melacca on our way home. What can one do in Melacca? Simple, buy local coffee, tasting local Lok-Lok and Chicken rich ball. Melacca coffee is my all time favorites. The coffee is fresh and with super aromatic, no matter you are serving there or buy the 3 in one ready serve coffee. Lok-Lok in Melacca getting expensive, around RM0.50 each (minimum) and you can have all the Lok-Lok dipping sauce - peanut souce with red chili oil. Wow, those first timer in Melacca must try the sauce, because it will be your reason to visit Melacca for the next time. Shopping also best thing to do in Melacca. Try F.O.S if you want to have some special and nice T-Shirt, most of them will cost you around RM30 - RM50,you will find GAP T-Shirt if you are lucky. I like everything with Linen materials, nice colour and comfortable to wear. Next stop before leaving M'sia is Johore Bharu.

CNY at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Day 7 of Chinese New Year.

Day 7 of Lunar Chinese New Year also know as "Human Day" or "Ren Ri" - Birthday of human kind. Most of the Chinese will serving "Yue Shang" at this day.

For this year, I am visiting BB Plaza with my darling, we have a cup of Mocha at Starbucks Cafe at Sungai Wang Plaza. KL was one of our stop on our way back to Singapore. We like to shop around Bukit Bintang Plaza and Bintang Walk, it is a most happening spot with lot of tourists and festive activities . Shopping and local food tasting always are the best thing in Kuala Lumpur.

Try to visit Petaling Street, where you can taste a lot of KL best food and also best place to shop for cheap and fashionable staffs. I am strongly recommended KL Hokkian Mee also know as "Dai Lok Min" when you are visiting Petaling Street. Our next stop will be Melacca.
